Cultural Heritage

"Culture is not a luxury but a necessity." – Gao Xingjian

Cultural Heritage is an expression of the ways of living developed by a community and passed on from generation to generation, including customs, practices, places, objects, artistic expressions and values. Cultural Heritage is often expressed as either Intangible or Tangible Cultural Heritage (ICOMOS, 2002).

CreativesMX understands the living heritage of humanity to include “traditions and living expressions inherited from our ancestors and passed on to our descendants, such as oral traditions, performing arts, rituals, festive events, knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe or the knowledge and skills to produce traditional crafts.”
